About This Site
This site has been designed from the ground up to be standards-compliant and compatible with a range of modern web browsers, including Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. It is highly recommended you download the latest version of whichever browser you are using to view this site as intended.
Printing Support
Feel free to print any of the information you find on this site. Each page is designed with printing in mind, and certain parts of each page which are irrelevant in printed media (ie. the navigation bar) will automatically be excluded, thereby maximizing available space on each printed page.
Adobe PDF Files
You may find Adobe PDF files
located throughout this site -- especially areas which
feature product manuals or downloadable/printable charts.
Adobe is an industry-standard format and is now included as
a standard option on most PCs, so chances are you won't
need to download anything to view these files. Still,
should you encounter any difficulty viewing them or you
feel something simply doesn't look quite right, we
recommend you visit Adobe's web site for more
information and to download the latest version of the
Reader.
Videos
Videos available on this
site are encoded in Windows Media format for easier
viewing. Microsoft's Windows
Media Player is available by default on a majority of newer
PCs, but if you have any difficulties viewing these videos
please visit the
Windows Media Player web site to download the latest
free version.
Do diagrams look "grainy" or unreadable?
Some of the images on this site are so large that they can't be shown in their entirety on lower-resolution displays. When modern web browsers encounter such images, they automatically shrink them so they will fit on your screen. However, such shrinking comes at a price, and depending on the content of the image the quality may be reduced drastically. This is especially noticable on diagrams, sketches or images featuring text.
To view these images at their full size, thus restoring their quality, follow these steps:
- Place your mouse cursor over the image,
- Don't move until you see the resizing icon (as pictured here) appear in the lower-right corner of the image,
- Left-click the resizing button once to enlarge the picture.
